Pakistan’s Drone infiltration attempt in Digwar, Poonch fails

Pakistan is undeterred by its nefarious activities. On Sunday, a drone from across the border attempted to infiltrate into the Digwar sector near the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district. Army troops fired upon the drones and drove them back across the border.

An Army spokesperson shared this information on X. The spokesperson wrote that around 6 a.m., three small drones from Pakistan were spotted infiltrating into Digwar. Soldiers immediately fired to bring them down. The drones hovered briefly and then fled into Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).

After repelling the drones, soldiers cordoned off the entire area and conducted a search operation to determine if any weapons or narcotics had been dropped by the drones. Security was also tightened in Poonch town and the surrounding areas, five kilometers away. Security forces patrolled late into the night and also set up checkpoints and checked vehicles.

Second infiltration attempt in three days
This is the second incident of a Pakistani drone attempting to infiltrate the Digwar sector of Poonch in three days. A drone had previously infiltrated the same area on Friday, but the army repelled it with gunfire. It should be noted that weapons, narcotics, and explosives were dropped by drones in Karmada, Poonch, in the early hours of January 1st. The army subsequently foiled another drone infiltration attempt on January 15th.

Drone Infiltration to Deliver Weapons, Money, and Drugs to Support Terrorism
Pakistan has hatched a new conspiracy to fuel terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir. Due to tight border security, it has been using drones to deliver weapons, money, and drugs to terrorists for nearly two years.

According to sources, Pakistan previously used drones to infiltrate under the cover of shelling to deliver weapons, ammunition, and money to terrorists.
