Palwal Water Tank Accident: SDO and JE Suspended, Notice to XEN

Palwal: A 12-year-old boy tragically drowned in an underground water tank at the boosting station in Gobind Nagar, Palwal district, on February 26th. This incident has raised serious questions about safety in public places.

Public Health Engineering and Public Works Minister Ranbir Gangwa took cognizance of the matter and ordered strict action.

SDO and JE Suspended Immediately for Negligence

On the minister’s instructions, the department has suspended SDO Preeti and JE Rambir Singh with immediate effect. A show-cause notice has been issued to the concerned Executive Engineer (XEN).

Minister Ranbir Gangwa stated that the safety of children in public places and the maintenance of infrastructure are the department’s top priorities. Negligence of any kind will not be tolerated under any circumstances.

Orders for inspection of all boosting stations

The Minister has directed officials to immediately inspect all boosting stations, water tanks, and related premises in the district. Safety standards must be strictly followed to prevent recurrence of such incidents in the future.

The department has also been directed to ensure that all safety measures are fully implemented and that the safety of the general public is not compromised in any way.
