MBBS Doctor in Panipat Jumps from Third Floor After Alleged Rape and ₹1 Crore Blackmail Demand; Suffers Multiple Fractures

In Panipat, Haryana, a female MBBS doctor, driven to desperation by her boyfriend’s blackmailing, jumped from the third floor of her residence. This life-threatening act resulted in fractures throughout her entire body. She remained hospitalised in this critical condition for several days at a hospital in Panipat.

Bedridden After Severe Injuries

Currently, she is bedridden and completely unable to walk or move. The doctor’s brother and uncle filed a complaint regarding the matter with the police. Given the gravity of the case, the superintendent of Police (SP) entrusted the investigation to a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP). The preliminary investigation uncovered a major case involving the physical exploitation of the doctor, the creation of obscene videos, and demands for one crore rupees and jewelry.

Subsequently, a ‘Zero FIR’ was initially registered at the Pillukhera Police Station (Jind); however, since Panipat was the primary epicenter of the incident, the case was transferred to the Model Town Police Station for further action. The Panipat police are now conducting a comprehensive investigation into the entire matter.

Case Registered, police investigation begins

When the victim’s brother and uncle confronted the accused, Mohit, and asked to speak with him face-to-face, the accused responded by threatening to have the victim’s family imprisoned and to kill her younger brother (who is currently studying law in Pune). Left with no other recourse, a complaint was submitted to the Jind SP on behalf of the victim.
