Panipat: Fire breaks out late at night in textile factory, employees escaped

A massive fire broke out late Monday night at the Sachdeva Textile Factory on Pasina Road in the city due to a short circuit. Panic ensued at the factory as soon as the fire started, and the employees present managed to escape and save their lives. Fortunately, no one was killed in the incident.

Four fire tenders rushed to the spot upon receiving the information and after a strenuous effort, the fire was brought under control.

However, by then, the machinery and raw materials stored in the factory had been destroyed. The flames were so fierce that a thick cloud of smoke spread throughout the surrounding area. The factory owner arrived at the scene and is assessing the damage.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the fire was caused by a short circuit. The owner stated that the exact extent of the damage is still being assessed, but goods worth millions of rupees have been destroyed. The police and fire department teams are investigating the incident. This incident has raised concerns about safety standards in the area.
