Panipat: Five-Month Pregnant Woman Commits Suicide

In New Rampur, under the jurisdiction of the Purana Industrial Area Police Station in Panipat, a woman named Sarangi committed suicide by hanging herself.

The woman’s family members allege that her husband was involved in an illicit relationship with another woman, a situation that led to frequent domestic discord within the family.

The family filed a complaint at the police station, leveling charges of murder. The police have registered a First Information Report (FIR) regarding the incident.

Sushila, a resident of Arjun Nagar, stated that her daughter Sarangi was married to Ankit in November 2023. The couple has a one-year-old son. Ankit was involved in a relationship with another woman, and Sarangi discovered photographs of them together.

Following this discovery, she took her own life by hanging herself. The police have registered an FIR on charges of dowry death.
