Panipat: Woman Killed as Electric Shock Triggers collapse at under-construction drain site

In Panipat, following an electric shock, a woman was buried in the soil within a drainage ditch currently under construction near Sanjay Chowk on GT Road. The woman subsequently passed away. Her family members had initially taken her to a private hospital for treatment. However, the doctors there had pronounced her dead.

It is reported that the incident occurred on Friday evening while the woman was performing household chores, during which she suffered an electric shock. Consequently, her family members rushed her to a private hospital, where the doctors informed them that there was nothing more they could do for her and asked them to take her away.

Subsequently, someone suggested that burying the woman in the soil and rubbing her hands would neutralize the effects of the electric shock. Acting on this advice, her family members buried her in the drainage ditch under construction near Sanjay Chowk.

Photographs of the incident have since gone viral on social media. Meanwhile, the police have stated that they did receive information regarding the incident; however, by the time their team arrived at the scene, the people involved had already left. No formal written complaint or information has been submitted to the police.
