Panipat: Youth strangled to death; accused himself called police

In Vaiser village, falling under the jurisdiction of the Matlauda Police Station in Panipat, a young man named Satish was strangled to death. The incident is being linked to a love affair involving a woman. The Matlauda Police have deposited the body in the mortuary.

According to the police, Satish had gone to the home of Vikas—a resident of his own village—around 12:00 AM on Monday night. An altercation broke out between the two over some issue. It is alleged that Vikas strangled Satish to death. Upon hearing the commotion, villagers gathered at the scene during the night itself.

Accused Confesses: “I Committed the Murder”
The accused, Vikas, himself informed the police about the murder by calling them during the night. He told the police that he had killed Satish and that the body was lying at his home.

Upon receiving this information, the Matlauda Police immediately rushed to the scene. The police have sent the body to the District Civil Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
