    Sikh Delegation to Meet Haryana CM Over Panjokhra Lathi-Charge; 25-Member Team to Present Case

    Panchkula: A 25-member delegation of Sikh representatives will meet Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Tuesday evening over the alleged lathi-charge on Sikhs in Panjokhra, Ambala, Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (HSGMC) president Jagdish Singh Jhinda said.

    Jhinda addressed a press conference at the historic Gurdwara Sri Nada Sahib in Panchkula on Tuesday and outlined the community’s next course of action following the incident.

    25-member delegation to meet CM

    Jhinda said all 25 members of the delegation would attend the meeting with the Chief Minister and present their concerns regarding the Panjokhra incident.

    He also said that Guru Simran Singh Mand had issued an apology letter in connection with the incident.

    The delegation is expected to discuss the circumstances surrounding the lathi-charge and the concerns raised by Sikh representatives.

    Decision on August 25 protest after meeting

    Jhinda said a protest had been planned in Ambala on August 25, but the community’s next strategy would be decided after the meeting with the Chief Minister.

    He said further action would depend on the outcome of the discussions with the Haryana government.

    The meeting comes amid growing concern among Sikh representatives over the Panjokhra incident and demands for action following the alleged lathi-charge.
