MP Pappu Yadav donates five months’ salary for flood relief in Himachal, Punjab and Gujarat

New Delhi, Sep 5: Bihar MP Pappu Yadav has announced that he will donate five months’ salary to help those affected by the devastating floods in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and Gujarat. In a heartfelt social media post, he said that the scale of the devastation caused by the floods demands immediate and united action.

Yadav clarified that he will dedicate two months’ salary each to Himachal and Punjab, the two states worst affected by the recent heavy rains and landslides. One month’s salary will be donated to help flood-affected communities in Gujarat, where the situation is also becoming increasingly critical.

He expressed deep concern over the loss of lives, displacement of families and extensive damage to homes, crops and infrastructure in these states. He said he stands in solidarity with the victims and is ready to go further if needed.

“If the situation does not improve, I will donate my entire year’s salary,” Yadav said. He also said he is ready to go to the affected areas and participate in ground relief and rescue operations.

This is not the first time that Pappu Yadav has taken such an initiative. Known for his practical approach during crises, he has been seen distributing aid during natural disasters and epidemics in the past.

His announcement comes at a time when large parts of north and western India are under the impact of incessant rains, with rescue operations underway in several districts. His appeal is expected to inspire more public representatives to come forward and support the relief efforts.
