Patiala: Following Amritsar and Jalandhar in Punjab, a bomb threat has been issued against schools in Patiala. An email has been sent to school management regarding this matter. The subject line reads “Bomb Blast 1:11 PM – 9:11 PM.”

Winter Vacation Prevents Risk to Students

This suggests that the threat is for the period between 1:11 PM and 9:11 PM. Schools have been on winter vacation since December 21st, so children are not at risk. However, security staff were present.

Ryan Public School and DAV School Targeted

This threatening email was also sent to Ryan Public School and DAV School. Upon receiving the email, the school management immediately informed the police, which then alerted the police. Security was immediately increased at the schools and the railway station. Anti-sabotage teams have been called into the schools and are being inspected for bombs.

SSP Varun Sharma Confirms Increased Vigilance

Patiala SSP Varun Sharma stated that he received information from the schools, and security measures have been increased. Additionally, checking at the railway station has also been increased. It should be noted that prominent schools in Amritsar and Jalandhar previously received threatening emails. School management received these threats, prompting a school holiday. However, the investigation did not reveal the identity of the person who made the threats.

What was written in the threatening email.

The threatening email received by schools threatened Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann. The second line of the email reads, “Bomb blasts will occur from Patiala school to train station between 1:11 pm and 9:11 pm.” In the middle, a question is asked whether Khalistan should be a separate country within India. Finally, the CM and Kejriwal are threatened.

Police Conduct Camera Checks and Safety Briefings

A police team arrived at Ryan Public School in the Patiala Urban area. The school had informed the police about the incident in the morning. Police officers who arrived on the scene stated that all the school’s cameras were checked. Teachers and security staff were advised to remain alert. Additionally, checking teams are visiting all schools. The police are on alert.

Earlier Bomb Threats in Jalandhar Sparked Panic

Earlier, threats to bomb 10 schools in Jalandhar caused a stir. Threatening emails were sent to the principals of these schools. Voice messages were sent to some schools. Upon learning of the threat, classes were immediately suspended and lights were turned off. Parents were then informed via WhatsApp, phone calls, and the school app to immediately pick up their children.

    Cyber Cell Probing Threat Emails

According to police sources, the threats were sent to KMV School, St. Joseph Convent School, IVY World School, and Shiv Jyoti School in Jalandhar. During a press conference on the matter, Jalandhar Police Commissioner Dhanpreet Kaur and Deputy Commissioner Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal stated that the cyber cell is investigating the emails and will work to apprehend the perpetrators soon.
