Tipper hits tractor in Patiala, 2 farmers killed; angry locals block road after driver flees

On the Patiala-Samanaa road near Bhanra village, 2 people lost their lives in a tragic road accident. Here, an out-of-control and high-speed tipper collided violently with a tractor-trolley. The impact was so severe that the tractor completely overturned.

In the accident, 2 people died on the spot, while another person was seriously injured. The injured person was immediately admitted to a nearby hospital with the help of an ambulance, where treatment is ongoing.

Driver fled after accident, long traffic jam on the road

After causing the incident, the accused tipper driver took advantage of the situation and fled from the spot. Following this incident, the anger of the local villagers and farmers erupted.

Angry people parked tractors on the Patiala-Samana main road and staged a sit-in, completely blocking traffic. The protesters shouted slogans against the administration, demanding that the accused driver be immediately arrested and justice be delivered to the victim families.

Police began the search for the accused

As soon as the news of the accident and traffic blockade reached them, senior local police officials arrived at the spot with a large police force. The police tried to calm the angry people and assured them that the accused would soon be behind bars.

Currently, the police have taken the bodies into their custody and kept them in the hospital mortuary for post-mortem. A case has been registered against the unknown tipper driver, and raids have been started to arrest him.
