Sixth Bomb Threat Rocks Patna Civil Court

The Patna Civil Court received its sixth bomb threat on Wednesday morning, triggering panic and forcing authorities to evacuate the entire court complex. The threat was reported around 8 a.m., prompting swift action from district police and security agencies.

Station House Officer (SHO) of Pirbahore Police Station confirmed that security teams rushed to the spot immediately after the alert and launched a comprehensive search operation.

    Intensive Search Operation Underway

A bomb squad, dog squad and bomb detection units were deployed to thoroughly scan the premises. Officials said that no suspicious object had been found so far, but the search operation was still ongoing at the time of reporting.

As a precaution, authorities sealed the main entrance of the court complex and restricted entry. Security has been significantly tightened in and around the premises, with strict screening of visitors.

Panic and Disruption in Court Work

The sudden evacuation led to chaos inside the court complex. Lawyers expressed resentment as scheduled hearings and legal proceedings were disrupted due to the security scare.

Officials stated that despite previous threats turning out to be hoaxes, the administration is treating the latest alert with utmost seriousness to avoid any potential risk.

    Repeated Hoax Threats Raise Concern

Sources said a similar bomb threat was received just two days ago, which was later confirmed to be fake. Another threat was reported on Monday, leading to the rescheduling of hearings in key cases.

Notably, two cases related to Purnea MP Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav were listed for hearing on Wednesday, coinciding with the day of the latest threat.

    Probe Launched to Trace Source

Police and investigative agencies are continuing their probe to identify the source behind the repeated bomb threats. Authorities have made it clear that normal court proceedings will resume only after a complete security clearance.

The repeated incidents have raised serious concerns over security and the misuse of threat calls to disrupt judicial functioning.
