Patna: A Patna civil court on Monday granted anticipatory bail to educator and YouTuber Faisal Khan, popularly known as Khan Sir, and his two bodyguards in connection with the coaching firing case linked to violence outside his coaching institute last month.
The court’s order came after arguments on the anticipatory bail plea had concluded earlier this month. The matter had been deferred from July 10 to July 13 due to the district judge’s absence.
Case Linked to June 2 Clash Outside Coaching Institute
The case stems from a violent incident on June 2 outside Khan Global Studies (KGS) in Patna’s Musallahpur area, where a group of around 15 to 20 people allegedly vandalised the coaching institute and pelted stones at the premises. During the disturbance, Khan Sir’s security personnel allegedly opened fire, leading to the registration of a criminal case.
Following the incident, an FIR was registered at Kadamkuan Police Station, and police launched an investigation into the alleged firing and vandalism. The weapons allegedly used during the incident were seized and sent for forensic examination.
Relief for Khan Sir and His Security Personnel
According to Khan Sir’s legal team, the court granted anticipatory bail to the educator and his two bodyguards. The bodyguards, who had earlier been arrested in the case, also secured relief through the court proceedings.
The defence has maintained that Khan Sir had no direct role in the alleged firing and that his security personnel acted during the attack on the coaching institute. The educator has consistently denied wrongdoing and has cooperated with the investigation.
Investigation Continues
Police are continuing their investigation into the incident, including examining forensic evidence, CCTV footage and witness statements to determine the sequence of events during the clash.
The case remains under investigation, with authorities probing the roles of all those involved in the violence outside the coaching institute.
