PBKS vs RR: Riyan Parag seen vaping in the dressing room, video goes viral

New Delhi: Rajasthan Royals captain Riyan Parag has found himself embroiled in a new controversy during the IPL 2026. He was caught on camera vaping (smoking an e-cigarette) in the dressing room during the match against Punjab Kings. The video quickly went viral on social media.

The incident occurred during the 16th over of Rajasthan’s innings, when the cameraman captured Riyan Parag sitting in the dressing room. Dhruv Jurel and Yashasvi Jaiswal were also seen with him in the video.

Action may be taken under IPL rules

According to IPL rules, smoking in the dressing room is strictly prohibited. Therefore, action is likely against Riyan Parag. According to reports, he could receive a warning, fine, or even a ban.

This incident comes at a time when Rajasthan Royals were already in the news for another rule violation.

The team has been fined before

Previously, the team manager violated PMOA protocol by using a phone in the dugout. This incident was also captured on camera during a live broadcast.

After an investigation, the BCCI warned Romi Bhinder and fined him ₹1 lakh.

Now, Riyan Parag’s vaping case is being considered more serious. Vaping devices are illegal in India under the Prohibition of Electronic Cigarettes Act (PECA) 2019. Violations of these rules carry a fine of ₹60,000 to ₹5 lakh and a sentence of 6 months to 3 years.
