Pensioners turn agitated at Shimla’s Chaura Maidan; raise slogans against Govt

Pensioners have launched a protest against the government at Chaura Maidan in the state capital, Shimla. Pensioners arriving from across the state are aggrieved over the non-payment of pending dues and the absence of any relief announcements in the budget.

At Chaura Maidan, the pensioners raised slogans against the government. Furthermore, they declared that their agitation would continue until the government provides the promised relief.

It is worth noting that the pensioners had previously held several meetings to issue warnings to the government.

Additionally, at Chaura Maidan, the pensioners stopped the vehicles of MLAs Prakash Rana and Reena Kashyap, following which the legislators were compelled to walk from Chaura Maidan to the Legislative Assembly.
