People Living in Fear’: Tejashwi Yadav on Bihar’s Crime Situation

New Delhi: Tejashwi Yadav launched a scathing attack on the Nitish Kumar government over the deteriorating law and order situation in Bihar. Speaking to the media in the Assembly premises, he said that murders are occurring every day in the state and the government has no control over criminals.

He alleged, “Criminals have become unbridled. Anyone who feels like it can open fire. The people of Bihar are living in an atmosphere of fear.”

‘Government unwilling to take responsibility’

Tejashwi Yadav said that despite having a Chief Minister and two Deputy Chief Ministers in the state, no one is taking responsibility for curbing crime.

He claimed that the government has completely failed to maintain law and order and common people are feeling unsafe.

Referring to the incident of a bride being shot at a wedding ceremony, he said that the Chief Minister is at the weakest stage of his political career.

 Questions on the Home Department and Rising Crime

The RJD leader said that the Chief Minister never handed over the Home Department to anyone else during his tenure, but as soon as it was taken away from him, crime began to rise rapidly.

He alleged that criminals are receiving protection from people associated with the government.

 Also Attacked the Central Government on Infiltration and the Economy

Tejashwi Yadav also questioned the issue of infiltration raised during Amit Shah’s visit to Bihar. He said that this issue is raised for political gain before elections.

Attacking the central government, he said that the Indian rupee is weakening and the government is silent on the tariffs being imposed by Donald Trump.

He alleged that the central government is diverting attention from real issues.

Tejashwi Yadav’s statement clearly shows that the law and order issue in Bihar will remain a major political issue in the coming days.
