Petrol and diesel prices rise in Uttar Pradesh, impact seen; politicians adopt alternative means

Political reactions have intensified after petrol and diesel prices in Uttar Pradesh increased by Rs. 3 per liter each. In Lucknow, petrol reached Rs. 97.53 and diesel Rs. 90.81 per liter.

Akhilesh Yadav took a dig on social media, writing that if one wants to move forward, a bicycle is the best option. He added that he has previously discussed the benefits of bicycles.

BJP MLA buys 4 e-rickshaws

BJP MLA from Rampur, Akash Saxena, has purchased 4 e-rickshaws. He said that he will now travel to events in e-rickshaws with a gunman.

Meanwhile, Ravi Kishan also engaged in carpooling. He reached Khajni in an electric car with Kushinagar MP Vijay Dubey. Ravi Kishan appealed to people to save fuel and support the Prime Minister’s call.

Officials and ministers are also adopting new methods

The District Magistrate of Firozabad walked to the office with his staff, while Minister Suresh Khanna cycled to the Assembly. Moradabad Commissioner Onjaneya Kumar Singh also rode a bicycle. Minister Danish Azad rode a Bullet motorcycle to the Secretariat.

Yogi Government’s Energy Saving Decisions

The Yogi Adityanath government has implemented several major energy saving decisions. Under these measures, the convoys of the Chief Minister, ministers, MLAs, and officials will be reduced by 50%. They will be required to use public transport or metro-buses one day a week. Additionally, government meetings and seminars will now be held virtually.
