    Phase 2 polling: PM Modi, Rahul Gandhi appeal to voters to cast their vote in large numbers

    New delhi: The polling for the second phase of the Lok Sabha elections has begun. Amidst this, political leaders are motivating people to come out and vote in large numbers. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Congress Leader Rahul Gandhi appealed to people to come and vote to strengthen the democracy.

    In Post on X, Prime Minister Narendra Modi while requesting people to vote in the second phase said that people’s vote is their voice. He said, “My humble request to the voters of all the seats in the second phase of the Lok Sabha elections today is that they should vote in record numbers. The more the voting, the stronger our democracy will be. Along with our young voters, I have a special request to the women power of the country to come forward in large numbers to cast their votes. Your vote is your voice”

    He made a special request to women voters as well as Young voters to come forward in large numbers and cast their votes.



    Congress leader Rahul Gandhi also on Friday said that these elections are going to decide the fate of the country adding that each vote will decide whether the next government will be of “a few billionaires” or of 140 crore Indians.

    In a post on X, Rahul Gandhi said, “My dear countrymen! Today is the second phase of this historic election which is going to decide the fate of the country. Your vote will decide whether the next government will be of ‘a few billionaires’ or of ‘140 crore Indians’. Therefore, it is the duty of every citizen to step out of their homes today and become a ‘soldier of the Constitution’ and vote to protect democracy.”

    Voting began at 7 am on Friday. The Lok Sabha election is being held in seven phases till June 1 and votes will be counted on June 4.
