Plane accident averted in Farrukhabad: Private jet crashes into bushes, All six safe

Farrukhabad: A major plane accident was averted in Farrukhabad, Uttar Pradesh. A private plane lost control while taking off from the runway and crashed into nearby bushes. The plane’s wings, front wheel, and jet fan were damaged in the accident. The fuel tank was also damaged, and aerofuel is dripping onto the runway.

Currently, all six people on board the plane are safe. These include Woodpecker Green Angry Nutri Pads Pvt Ltd MD Ajay Arora, Vice President Rakesh Tiku and SBI officer Sumit Sharma, both pilots Naseeb Bamal and Pratik Fernandez, and a crew technician.

Ajay Arora and his team had come from Bhopal to inspect the construction of a beer factory being built in the Khimsapur Industrial Area. The incident occurred at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday. A team has been called from Delhi to investigate the accident and the condition of the plane. The plane belongs to Jet Service Aviation Private Limited.

Due to low wind, the jet lost control

Manish Kumar Pandey, UP project head of the Green Company, accused the pilots of negligence. He said, “Both pilots were already aware of the low airflow in the tyres, but they did not pay attention.”

Due to low wind, the jet lost control after travelling 400 meters on the runway and crashed into bushes along the runway. This led to the accident. Upon receiving information about the accident, Kotwali police station in-charge Vinod Kumar Shukla arrived at the scene with his force. A fire brigade team also arrived. The police team conducted an investigation on the spot. ADM Ravindra Kumar, SDM Sadar Rajnikant Pandey, and CO Ajay Verma also arrived to gather information.

DM said, “The accident occurred due to the pilot’s negligence.”

DM Ashutosh Kumar Dwivedi said, “A beer plant worth 570 crore rupees is being set up under the Vikasit Bharat Yojana. Company officials arrived on Wednesday evening in a six-seater private jet. Today, during takeoff, the jet skidded off the runway due to the pilot’s negligence. Everyone on board is safe. The plane is slightly damaged.”

Woodpecker’s MD said, “I will now take a flight back from Agra.”

Ajay Arora, MD of Woodpecker Green Company, said that he was returning from a private plane after inspecting the plant when the accident occurred. He will now depart from Agra. He will then take another flight to Bhopal.

FSO said, “Notification was given only 25 minutes before takeoff.”

Ashish, FSO of the Fire Brigade, said, “Private flights are required to give notice 12 hours before takeoff, for which fire tenders are dispatched as a safety measure. However, notification was given only 25 minutes before takeoff. The fee was also not deposited in the treasury.”
