PM Modi to Address Nari Shakti Vandan Sammelan in Delhi

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend and address the national-level ‘Nari Shakti Vandan Sammelan’ at Vigyan Bhawan on Monday at 11 a.m., according to an official statement issued on Sunday.

Participation from Multiple Sectors

The Sammelan will bring together women achievers and eminent personalities from diverse fields, including:

• Government and administration
• Science and academia
• Sports and entrepreneurship
• Media, culture, and social work

The aim is to strengthen discussions on the role of women in India’s development journey and governance system.

Policy Push and Women-Led Development

The event is part of the Union government’s broader focus on women-led development, encouraging greater participation of women in decision-making roles at all levels.

It also builds on the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam, which provides one-third reservation for women in the Lok Sabha and State Legislative Assemblies. A special Parliament session from April 16–18 is also expected to deliberate on its implementation.

Vision for Viksit Bharat 2047

The Sammelan is expected to reinforce India’s long-term development vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, with a strong emphasis on inclusive growth and greater representation of women in leadership roles across sectors.
