    PM Modi Hosts Gala Dinner For BRICS Leaders At Bharat Mandapam In Delhi

    New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi hosted a gala dinner for the leaders of BRICS member countries at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi on Saturday evening as India hosted the 18th BRICS Summit under its 2026 Chairmanship.

    The dinner marked the conclusion of the first day of the two-day summit, which brought together leaders of BRICS nations for discussions on strengthening multilateralism, inclusive global governance and greater cooperation among member countries.

    BRICS Leaders Gather At Bharat Mandapam

    The gala dinner followed a packed first day of the summit at Bharat Mandapam, where BRICS leaders participated in high-level discussions and other programmes.

    The leaders also took part in a group photograph and a joint tree plantation programme at the summit venue as part of the day’s engagements.

    The 18th BRICS Summit is being hosted by India on September 12-13 under its 2026 Chairmanship. The summit focuses on strengthening resilience, innovation, cooperation and sustainability, with inclusive global governance and the role of the Global South among the key areas of discussion.

    Cultural Programme Highlights India’s Heritage

    The gala dinner also features a major cultural presentation, with a 160-member cultural ensemble and the BRICS Symphony planned as part of the evening programme.

    The cultural elements are aimed at highlighting India’s artistic heritage and promoting cultural diplomacy and people-to-people connections among BRICS nations.

    The gathering comes as BRICS leaders work towards strengthening cooperation within the expanded grouping amid major geopolitical and economic challenges. The summit has also seen discussions on global governance reforms, trade, development, sustainability and international cooperation.
