Dehradun, April 4: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Dehradun on April 14, where he will inaugurate the much-anticipated Delhi-Dehradun Expressway and launch several development projects aimed at boosting regional growth.
One of the highlights of the visit is the inauguration of the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway, a major infrastructure project designed to significantly reduce travel time between Delhi and Dehradun. The expressway is expected to cut travel duration from nearly 6–7 hours to around 2.5 hours, offering faster and smoother connectivity between Delhi and Dehradun.
The new expressway will enhance connectivity across Uttarakhand and neighboring regions, providing a major boost to tourism, especially with the upcoming Char Dham Yatra season. Improved road infrastructure is also expected to facilitate trade, reduce travel costs and support economic development in the region.
During his visit, PM Modi is also expected to lay the foundation stone for several infrastructure and development projects. These initiatives are aimed at strengthening public facilities, transportation networks, and overall regional development.
A public rally is also likely to be held in Dehradun, making the visit politically and socially significant. The event highlights the government’s continued focus on infrastructure-led growth and regional development.
