Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said that the world is currently witnessing rising instability and unrest, describing the global situation as being “scorched by the flames of uncertainty.” He made these remarks while addressing a gathering in Gujarat during the inauguration of the Samrat Samprati Museum.

Highlighting the current geopolitical climate, the Prime Minister emphasized that conflicts, tensions, and disruptions across regions have created an atmosphere of unpredictability. He stressed the importance of peace, cooperation, and shared human values in navigating these challenges.

Museum reflects values of peace and humanity

Speaking at the inauguration event held in Gandhinagar, PM Modi said that the newly opened museum is not just a cultural landmark but also a symbol of timeless human values. The Samrat Samprati Museum, dedicated to Jain heritage, showcases principles such as non-violence (ahimsa), truth, and compassion, which he said are crucial in today’s turbulent world.

He noted that figures like Samrat Samprati played a key role in spreading these values across society, and such teachings remain highly relevant in addressing modern-day conflicts and divisions.

Message of Mahavir Jayanti resonates globally

The Prime Minister’s address coincided with the occasion of Mahavir Jayanti, further reinforcing the message of peace and spiritual wisdom. He extended greetings to citizens and highlighted that Lord Mahavir’s teachings promote harmony and self-discipline, offering solutions to global unrest.

According to Modi, India’s ancient traditions have always emphasized the flow of knowledge, ethics, and moral responsibility, which can guide the world during uncertain times.

Major projects inaugurated during Gujarat visit

During his visit, PM Modi inaugurated several key projects, including the Samrat Samprati Museum at Koba Tirth and other infrastructure initiatives across the state. The museum features multiple galleries displaying rare artefacts, manuscripts, and sculptures that reflect India’s rich cultural heritage.

In addition, he launched and laid the foundation for development projects worth thousands of crores, covering sectors such as infrastructure, transport, and urban development.
