PM Modi in Jalandhar: Traffic Diverted on major routes, Check the advisory issued

In view of the VVIP visit to Jalandhar, Jalandhar Police has implemented a special traffic diversion plan from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM on Friday, July 17, 2026. Traffic diversion points have been identified at various places keeping in mind the strengthening of security arrangements, smooth traffic flow, and convenience of the common people.

Under this traffic arrangement:

* The routes indicated in red will remain completely closed for general traffic.

* The routes indicated in green will be used as designated alternate (diversion) routes for general traffic.

Traffic Diversion

General traffic coming to Jalandhar from Dasuha, Tanda, Hoshiarpur, Phagwara, Nakodar, Kala Sanghya, Kapurthala and Subhanpur will be diverted through designated alternate routes indicated in green in the traffic diversion map.

Public Appeal

The general public is requested to:

* Follow the instructions given by the Traffic Police.

* Use the designated diversion routes.

* Plan your travel in advance to avoid possible delays on Friday, July 17, 2026 from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM.

These traffic arrangements have been implemented to ensure the smooth conduct of the V.V.I.P. tour as well as to ensure the safety and smooth movement of the general public.

Jalandhar Rural Police appealed to all citizens to cooperate with the traffic police and adhere to the issued traffic advisory to ensure a safe and smooth journey.
