PM Modi Arrives in Netherlands, Says ‘Goedeavond Nederland’ as India-Netherlands Talks Begin

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in the Netherlands on an official visit aimed at deepening bilateral cooperation between India and the Netherlands across key sectors including trade, technology, clean energy and strategic partnerships.

Upon arrival, Modi greeted the country in Dutch, saying, “Goedeavond Nederland” (Good evening, Netherlands), highlighting the warm diplomatic engagement between the two nations.

The visit is expected to focus on expanding cooperation in areas such as semiconductors, water management, renewable energy, agriculture, logistics and innovation. Officials from both countries are also likely to discuss global geopolitical developments and economic partnerships.

India and the Netherlands have steadily strengthened ties in recent years, with growing collaboration in climate action, digital technology and investment. The Netherlands remains one of India’s important economic partners in Europe and a major source of foreign investment.

PM Modi is expected to hold meetings with Dutch leadership, business representatives and members of the Indian diaspora during the visit.
