West Bengal: Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a fierce attack on the Trinamool Congress (TMC) over women’s safety in West Bengal, accusing the ruling party of fostering lawlessness and failing to protect women in the state during an election rally in North 24 Parganas.

In one of his strongest remarks on the issue, Modi said a BJP government in West Bengal would take strict action against criminals. He declared that “every single goon and rapist” would be tracked down and held accountable if the BJP comes to power.

Cites Women’s Safety Cases in Criticism

The Prime Minister referenced incidents including Sandeshkhali and other alleged crimes against women while claiming that women in Bengal have suffered under what he described as TMC’s “Jungle Raj.” He said the BJP is committed to providing both security and opportunities for women.

Announces Women-Centric Promises

Alongside his criticism of the TMC, Modi announced several promises for women if BJP forms the government, including financial support schemes and reservation in government jobs aimed at women’s empowerment.
