PM Modi to inaugurate development projects worth more than Rs 19,600 crore in Odisha today

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch development projects worth over Rs 19,600 crore in Odisha during his visit to the state today.

These projects are from sectors including oil and gas, railways, roads, transport and highways and nuclear energy. Inspector General of Police (IGP) Ashish Kumar Singh said security forces have been deployed appropriately in view of the PM’s visit.

Singh said, “Adequate arrangements have been made in view of PM Modi’s visit. More than 3000 police forces have been deployed under the command of senior officers. The teams have been divided on the basis of programs.”

PM Modi will inaugurate Indian Oil Corporation Limited’s Mono Ethylene Glycol project at Paradip Refinery which will help in reducing India’s import dependence. He will dedicate to the nation the 344 km long product pipeline running from Paradip in Odisha to Haldia in West Bengal.

To enhance import infrastructure on the east coast, the Prime Minister will inaugurate a 0.6 MMTPA LPG import facility at Paradip. He will also unveil four laning of Singhra to Binjabahal section of NH-49, Binjabahal to Tillebani section of NH-49, Balasore-Jharpokharia section of NH-18 and Tangi-Bhubaneswar section of NH-16.

PM is scheduled to reach Chandikhol in Jajpur district at around 3:30 pm and address a public meeting. Odisha BJP president Manmohan Samal said, “The Prime Minister will address a public meeting at around 3:30 pm.”
