PM Modi holds talks with top executives of Intel, Cognizant

New Delhi, Dec 9 (PTI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday met the top leadership of Intel and Cognizant, expressing support for the companies’ growing involvement in India’s technology ecosystem.

Intel Reaffirms Support for India’s Semiconductor Mission

After meeting Intel’s senior representative Lip-Bu Tan, Modi shared on X:

“Glad to have met Mr Lip-Bu Tan. India welcomes Intel’s commitment to our semiconductor journey. I am sure Intel will have a great experience working with our youth to build an innovation-driven future for technology.”

Cognizant Engages on AI, Skill Development and Expansion Plans

The Prime Minister also held discussions with Cognizant CEO Ravi Kumar S and Cognizant India Chairman and Managing Director Rajesh Varrier.

Modi wrote on X:

“Had a wonderful meeting with Mr Ravi Kumar S and Mr Rajesh Varrier. India welcomes Cognizant’s continued partnership in futuristic sectors. Our youth’s focus on AI and skilling sets the tone for a vibrant collaboration ahead.”

Cognizant Highlights AI Push and Workforce Development

In a post on X, Cognizant said the discussions with Modi focused on scaling artificial intelligence adoption, boosting education, and strengthening skill development to enhance productivity and innovation.

The tech major added that its CEO reaffirmed commitment to India and shared plans to expand operations into emerging cities to support equitable growth and talent development.
