Veer Bal Diwas 2025: PM Modi Urges Youth to Lead India Towards Progress

Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a powerful and inspiring message to India’s younger generations Gen Z and Gen Alpha on the occasion of Veer Bal Diwas 2025, urging them to carry forward the legacy of courage and contribute to nation-building and the vision of a “Viksit Bharat” (Developed India).

Addressing a national programmed held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, Mr. Modi paid heartfelt tribute to the Sahibzada’s the young sons of Guru Gobind Singh Ji, whose extraordinary bravery and supreme sacrifice are commemorated each year on Veer Bal Diwas. The day honors their unwavering courage, conviction, and righteousness values that continue to inspire generations of Indians.

Highlighting the importance of youth in shaping India’s future, the Prime Minister said that today’s younger generations are uniquely positioned to lead India towards new heights of progress and development. In his message, he emphasized the energy, innovation, and resilience of Gen Z and Gen Alpha, noting that their creativity and determination will play a key role in realizing the dreams of a stronger and more prosperous nation.

Veer Bal Diwas was instituted to ensure the story of the Sahibzada’s’ sacrifice is passed down and remembered by every generation. Mr. Modi stressed that the day is not only a remembrance of past valor but also a call to action for young Indians to adopt values of courage, self-belief and service to the nation drawing inspiration from history to build the future of a ‘Viksit Bharat’.

During the event, the Prime Minister also interacted with Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar awardees, celebrating children who have demonstrated excellence and innovation in various fields. This interaction further underscored the role of young achievers as catalysts of positive change in Indian society.
