Power cut in Jalandhar today, electricity will be out from 10 am to 2 pm

Jalandhar: Power supply will be disrupted in Jalandhar and surrounding areas today (May 5). According to the electricity department, tree felling is being carried out for maintenance and safety purposes, resulting in power outages in many areas.

Power outage for 3 hours in rural areas
The 11 KV Dhaliwal UPS feeder will be out from 10 am to 1 pm. During this time, Dhaliwal, Gakhal, Gill, Safipur, Wadala, Sehjhangi, and surrounding villages will be without power for approximately 3 hours.

Power outage for 4 hours in urban areas
The 11 KV Basti Nau and Basti Gujaan feeders in the city will be out from 10 am to 2 pm. Due to this, power supply will be affected for approximately four hours in Basti No. 9, Nijatam Nagar, Car Bazaar Road, Dayal Nagar, Ganesh Nagar, Lamba Bazaar, Valmiki Mohalla, Manjit Nagar, and Dilbag Nagar.

People are advised to prepare in advance
The electricity department has appealed to residents to complete their essential work in advance. Considering the heat, people are also advised to make water arrangements in advance. Power will be restored as soon as the maintenance work is completed.
