Power Supply to remain disrupted in Jalandhar for the Next 3 Days; Check the list

With the onset of the summer season in Jalandhar, Powercom has initiated repair work. Consequently, power cuts have been scheduled across various localities. Residents are facing inconvenience due to these prolonged outages. Powercom has stated that the repair work is expected to continue until April 30.

A schedule for power cuts in Jalandhar has been released, covering the period up to April 25. Officials from the Electricity Department have indicated that daily power cuts lasting 4 to 5 hours are to be expected. As these outages may lead to water supply issues, residents are advised to store water in advance, keeping the scheduled cuts in mind.

The department announced that on Wednesday, power supply will remain suspended in the following areas of Jalandhar: Grover Colony, Ekta Vihar, 120 Feet Road, Rose Park, Dhongri Village, Sikandarpur Village, Lesariwal Village, Jagrava Village, Mahmadpur Village, Madhar Village, Muradpur Village, Jameel Nagar, Upkar Nagar, Lamba Pind, Khambran, Eldeco Green, Satnam Hospital, Abadi Dharampura, Aloo Farm, Basant Vihar, Mann Medicity Hospital, Jalandhar Enclave, Krishna Colony, RCF Colony, Glenmore Green Farm, Khambran Church, Model Town, Gole Market, and the Ladowali Road area.

Power Cuts in These Areas Starting Tomorrow

On April 23, several localities in Jalandhar will experience power cuts. These include Deep Nagar, Mehanga Singh Colony, the Guru Teg Bahadur area, PAP Quarters, Aman Garden, Kamal Park (New Govind Nagar), Gill Colony, Prakash Enclave, Army Enclave, Silver Residency, Red Rose Colony, Dadar Mohalla, 23 Mohalla, Tower Enclave Phase-3, Malko Gate, Abadi Dharampura, Eldeco Green, Khurla Kingran, Rameshwar Colony, Guru Ravidas Market, Abadpura, Nari Niketan, Khalsa School Market, and Jandu Singha Market.

On April 24, electricity supply will remain suspended from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM in the following areas of Jalandhar City: Sofi Pind, the residential zone, JP Nagar, Harbans Nagar, New Harbans Nagar, Basti Mithu Road, Chopra Colony, Guru Nanak Nagar, Lasuri Mohalla, Ambedkar Nagar, Badshahpur, Kukki Dhab, Sudama Vihar, Rocky Colony, Residency Vihar, and Maksoodpur. This totals 16 distinct localities.

 On April 25, electricity will be cut off from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM in the following areas of Jalandhar City: Abadpura, New Model Town, Jandu Singha Market, Gate Bazar, Thapran Mohalla, Karar Khan Mohalla, the Treatment Plant area, Nivia Sports, and the Leather Complex. These areas number 9 in total. Approximately 35,000 people reside in these localities and will be affected by the outage. In all, a population of nearly 45,000 will be impacted by this four-hour power cut.
