Hyderabad: The makers of director Hanu Raghavapudi’s much-awaited action entertainer ‘Fauzi’, starring pan-India star Prabhas in the lead role, have announced the film’s worldwide theatrical release date.
The film is set to hit cinemas on December 3, 2026, creating excitement among fans and movie lovers who have been eagerly waiting for the project.
Hanu Raghavapudi Announces ‘Fauzi’ Release Date
Taking to social media, director Hanu Raghavapudi shared the release announcement and wrote, “On 3rd DECEMBER 2026, the #Fauzi march begins. Come witness a story that won’t just unfold on the big screen, it will live on in the hearts of everyone who believes in courage, honor, and freedom.”
The announcement has further increased anticipation around the film, which has been generating buzz since its first announcement.
Makers Had Warned Fans Against Sharing Leaked Images
Earlier this year, ‘Fauzi’ made headlines after leaked images from the film’s sets surfaced online.
Director Hanu Raghavapudi had appealed to fans not to share leaked content, requesting them to experience the film as intended in theatres.
The makers had also issued a warning against accounts circulating unauthorised images, stating that action would be taken against those involved in spreading leaked material.
A Historical Action Drama Set in the 1940s
Directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, known for his visually rich storytelling in films like ‘Sita Ramam’, ‘Fauzi’ is a fictional historical drama set in the 1940s.
The filmmaker clarified that while Sanskrit shlokas were used during the title announcement to add depth and meaning, the film is not a mythological story.
According to the director, ‘Fauzi’ is a patriotic drama exploring human emotions, social and political tensions during the British era.
Prabhas Returns to a Grand Period Drama
The film marks Prabhas’ return to a large-scale period drama after the success of ‘Baahubali’.
The actor is reportedly playing a complex character dealing with themes of duty, emotions and ideology. The film will feature actress Imanvi as the female lead.
The cast also includes veteran actors Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty, Bhanu Chander, and Jayapradha in important roles.
Star-Studded Technical Team Behind ‘Fauzi’
The music for the film has been composed by Vishal Chandrasekhar, who previously collaborated with Hanu Raghavapudi on the successful film ‘Sita Ramam’.
The cinematography is handled by Sudeep Chatterjee, while the lyrics are penned by Krishna Kanth. Sheetal Sharma serves as the costume designer for the historical project.
