Preity Zinta celebrates PBKS record, says ‘went from sleepy to smiley’

Mumbai: Bollywood actress Preity Zinta praised her IPL team, Punjab Kings, for setting a record for remaining unbeaten in the first six matches in Indian Premier League history.

Expressed happiness after the win

Preity expressed her happiness on X (formerly Twitter) after Punjab Kings maintained their winning streak by defeating Lucknow Super Giants.

She also shared a video of herself from the stadium, in which she was seen taking pictures with Arjun Rampal and hugging the players.

‘Sleepy to Smiley’ post goes viral

Preity wrote that she was unsure about watching the match after a long journey, but the team’s excellent performance and the excitement in the stadium took away her fatigue.

She said, “I went from sleepy to smiling when our team set a new IPL record.”

Preparing to return to films

On the work front, Preity Zinta will soon return to the big screen with the film Lahore 1947.

The film is being directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and stars Sunny Deol, Shabana Azmi, Ali Fazal, and Abhimanyu Singh in lead roles.
