President Murmu meets Saint Premanand in Vrindavan

Mathura: President Draupadi Murmu met Saint Premanand Maharaj in Vrindavan, Mathura, and had a spiritual discussion for about 25 minutes. On Friday morning, she arrived at the ashram with her family amid rain and bowed to the saint with folded hands. Saint Premanand welcomed her with “Radhe-Radhe,” while the saints present at the ashram greeted her with garlands and a scarf. The President also congratulated the saint on his recent birthday.

Arrived with family, President visibly emotional
During the visit, the President was accompanied by her daughter Itishree Murmu, son-in-law Ganesh Hembram, and two granddaughters. Special arrangements were made for them at the Kelikunj Ashram. It is reported that the President appeared emotional during the spiritual discussion. Only the President, her family, and the saint’s close disciples were present in the hut during the meeting.

Other events and inaugurations during the visit
After meeting the saint, the President visited the Ramakrishna Mission Hospital, where she inaugurated the Nandkishore Somani Oncology Block. Governor Anandiben Patel and Minister Chaudhary Laxminarayan were also present.

The President is on a three-day visit to Uttar Pradesh. Earlier, she visited Ram Lalla in Ayodhya and installed the Ram Yantra in the temple. After arriving in Mathura, she offered prayers at the ISKCON temple in Vrindavan, interacted with children, and distributed chocolates. She then visited the Prem Mandir.
