Progressive Punjab Investors Summit Begins Today: CM Mann-Kejriwal to inaugurate Event

The Punjab government’s ‘Progressive Punjab Investors Summit’ is set to commence today, March 13, in Mohali. This three-day summit is attracting business leaders not only from within Punjab but also from various countries across the globe. The government has pulled out all the stops to ensure the success of this event.

The government’s underlying objective is to generate employment opportunities for the youth by fostering increased investment. With this goal in mind, the government formulated and unveiled its new Industrial Policy on March 7, which outlines a host of schemes designed to benefit various industries.

Country-Focused Sessions for Several Nations

The summit will be hosted at Plaksha University, located within Mohali’s IT City. The event will be inaugurated by Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, while Arvind Kejriwal is also scheduled to be present at the proceedings.

A major exhibition will also be organized as part of the summit. In total, 89 distinct sessions are being conducted during the event.

Notably, special ‘country-focused’ sessions have been designated for nations such as the United Kingdom, Japan, and South Korea. A dedicated session has also been allocated specifically to Mohali, as the Punjab government has been actively developing it as a specialized region. The city is currently being transformed into a central hub for the Information Technology industry and is already equipped with various modern amenities, including an airport.
