Protest in Patna over TRE-4 recruitment, police detain students

Patna: Candidates demonstrated in Patna demanding the release of BPSC TRE-4 vacancies. Many students arrived wearing chains during the protest. Police took action and detained several candidates, including student leader Rinkle Yadav. Female candidates were also dragged to a police vehicle.

Tej Pratap supporter student leader also detained

Rinkle Yadav, who was detained for the presidential post in the Patna University student union elections, had received Tej Pratap Yadav’s support. Earlier, student leader Khushboo Pathak was also detained by the police. A heavy police force has been deployed in the Patna College area.

Education Minister says outsiders are involved in the protest

Amidst the protests, Bihar Education Minister Mithilesh Tiwari said that the government is working on the TRE-4 recruitment process. He alleged that some outsiders are also involved in the protest and are instigating the students. However, he did not specify the date for the recruitment notification.

Student anger grows due to the delay in the notification

Candidates say that the government and the education department have repeatedly assured them of a quick notification, but no official announcement has been made yet. This is causing growing anger among students. The administration has also warned teachers to stay away from the protests.
