Punjab Bomb Threat: DC Offices in Gurdaspur and Muktsar Evacuated, Probe Underway

Amritsar: A bomb threat was received on Friday targeting the Deputy Commissioner (DC) offices in Punjab. The Gurdaspur and Muktsar DC offices have been evacuated immediately. A heavy police force has been deployed. The entire office area has been sealed off.

Police are using sniffer dogs to search for any possible bombs. Investigations so far have revealed that the email was sent in the name of the Pakistani organization ISKP. Officials have not yet commented on the matter.

The police will officially comment on this matter after an investigation. According to the police, the email was discovered around 9:30 a.m. Previously, schools in Amritsar, Jalandhar, and Patiala received bomb threats. Subsequently, threats were also received to blow up court complexes in several locations, including Ludhiana. However, no bombs were found during the search.
