Punjab Cabinet Reshuffle: Tarunpreet Sond Gets Power, Harjot Bains Assigned Local Bodies, Aman Arora gets Industries

In a significant reshuffle within the Punjab Cabinet, the state government on Monday reassigned key portfolios to senior ministers, signalling a renewed administrative focus across major departments.

Tarunpreet Singh Sondh has been entrusted with the responsibility of the Power Department, a crucial portfolio overseeing the state’s electricity generation, distribution and energy management initiatives.

Harjot Singh Bains has been assigned the Local Bodies Department, which manages urban civic administration, municipal corporations and infrastructure-related development in cities and towns across Punjab.

At the same time, the Industries Department has now been handed over to Aman Arora. The department plays a key role in industrial growth, investment promotion and employment generation in the state.

The latest allocation of portfolios is being viewed as part of the government’s efforts to strengthen governance and streamline administrative functioning in important sectors.
