Chandigarh: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann was admitted to Fortis Hospital, Mohali on Sunday afternoon after attending engagements in Sangrur earlier in the day. Sources said the Chief Minister reached the hospital around 3 p.m., where a team of doctors is conducting medical examinations.

No official statement had been issued regarding the reason for his hospitalisation till the filing of this report.

This is not the first time Mann has been admitted to the same hospital. In September last year, he was hospitalised at Fortis Hospital in Mohali after experiencing fluctuations in his blood pressure.

Earlier in the day, the Chief Minister, along with Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia, visited the Ranakeshwar Temple in Ranjke village of the Dhuri constituency on the occasion of Mahashivratri.

Sharing a post on X after the temple visit, Mann said they prayed for the prosperity, peace and brotherhood of the country and sought Lord Shiva’s blessings for the well-being of all.
