Punjab: CM Bhagwant Mann issues clarification over Akal Takht’s verdict, ‘ I am not in that video’

Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann issued a clarification today regarding the decision taken by Sri Akal Takht. He stated that certain edicts were issued against him by the Jathedar of Takht Sri Akal Takht Sahib concerning a specific video. He acknowledged that the video in question features him but clarified that it was not created using AI.

He mentioned that when he was summoned to Akal Takht Sahib, he had clearly stated that he was not the person in that video. He pointed out that the physique and physical build of the person in the video do not match his own; his own physique is different.

He expressed astonishment that individuals holding such exalted religious positions are spreading false propaganda at the behest of their political masters. He stated that this malicious campaign is being orchestrated to defame him because he is taking decisions to safeguard Punjab’s water resources, the teachings of the Guru (Gurbani), the farmers, and the youth of Punjab actions that his detractors find completely intolerable.

That is precisely why such tactics are being employed to tarnish his reputation, he added.
