Punjab: CM Mann to hand over appointment letters to 523 youths in Mohali

A state-level appointment letter distribution ceremony will be held today at Vikas Bhawan in Mohali under the Punjab government’s ‘Mission Rozgar’. Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann will hand over appointment letters to 523 newly recruited youths for the Department of Health and Family Welfare. The government claims that these appointments will further strengthen the state’s health services and address staff shortages in government hospitals and ‘Aam Aadmi Clinics’.

According to the government, the recruits include doctors, paramedical staff, lab technicians, and other health workers. Their deployment is expected to improve the quality of healthcare facilities in both rural and urban areas.

67,040 Youths Have Secured Government Jobs

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has consistently maintained that his government is providing employment to the youth based solely on merit, without any recommendations or bribes. Government data indicates that since the Aam Aadmi Party government took office, 67,040 youths have been given government jobs across various departments. The government asserts that the recruitment process has been completely transparent, and no candidate had to resort to political influence or bribery to secure a job.

Curbing Youth Migration is a Priority

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann believes that if the youth of Punjab find better employment opportunities within the state, the trend of migration abroad can be significantly curbed. With this objective, the government is continuously working to fill vacant posts across various departments. According to sources, the Chief Minister will also address the youth during today’s event and share details about future plans related to the government’s employment policy.

Recruitment in Other Departments Too

The Punjab government is preparing to conduct large-scale recruitment drives in the near future for the education, power, revenue, and other key departments. Today’s event in Mohali is seen as the next phase of this ongoing employment drive.
