Punjab CM Office-Chandigarh Court gets bomb Threat; Police-CRPF conducts search operation

The Punjab Secretariat and Chandigarh Court in Chandigarh have received a bomb threat. This threat was made via email. Upon receiving the information, the police administration immediately swung into action and evacuated the entire area. As a precaution, the Haryana Secretariat has also been put on alert.

According to reports, the relevant department received a threatening email, which called for an explosion in the Chief Minister’s office. A screenshot of this email went viral.  The Savera times does not confirm the email.

For security reasons, the police cordoned off the area and people were safely evacuated from the Secretariat. Teams from the police force, CRPF, bomb disposal squad, and dog squad arrived at the scene and thoroughly searched the entire area. The investigation has been completed, but no suspicious object was found.

It should be noted that on Tuesday, a bomb threat was also received at the hospital in Mohali, where Chief Minister Mann was admitted. However, this threat also turned out to be false.

The following was written in the threatening email:

A screenshot of the email appears to show that it was received by the Secretariat at 9:46 am today. It states that there will be an explosion at Mann’s (CM Bhagwant Mann) office, the Secretariat, and the Chandigarh Court at 2:11 pm.

The message then reads, “Punjab will now become Khalistan. There will be an explosion at Mann’s (CM Bhagwant Mann) office at 2:11 pm. The Chandigarh Court will also be hit at 3:11 pm.” The email mentions targeting Bhagwant Mann’s office and home at the bottom.
