Pakistan-linked arms smuggling network busted in Punjab, Two arrested

Sri Muktsar Sahib: In a major breakthrough, the Sri Muktsar Sahib Police have busted a cross-border arms smuggling racket. Ravi Singh from Malout and his accomplice from Ferozepur have been arrested. Two 9mm pistols and live cartridges have been recovered from them.

According to Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav, preliminary investigations revealed that they had links to cross-border smugglers, including a major Pakistan-based handler involved in arms and drug trafficking. The operation not only resulted in the seizure of weapons but also exposed a widespread arms smuggling network.

Technical and financial investigations are underway to unearth the entire network and completely dismantle the module. The DGP said the government is committed to eliminating the cross-border smuggling network and ensuring peace and security in the state.
