Punjab CM Flags Off 508 Emergency Response Vehicles

Chandigarh, March 31, 2026 – In a major boost to the state’s disaster management and public safety infrastructure, Bhagwant Mann today flagged off 508 new emergency response vehicles at a grand state event. The initiative aims to strengthen rapid response capabilities across Punjab for medical emergencies, accidents, natural disasters and law‑and‑order situations.

The fleet includes advanced ambulances, rescue vehicles and first‑response units equipped with modern lifesaving equipment. Officials said the deployment will significantly reduce response times and improve coordination during crises, especially in remote and rural areas.
