Punjab Emerges as an Investment Hub: Mann Government’s Model Becomes First Choice for Industries

Invest Punjab: Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, Punjab has rapidly transformed into a major investment hotspot. Since March 2022, the state has received investment proposals worth 137000 crore, which are expected to create over 4.7 lakh employment opportunities.

Transparent policies and accelerated industrial growth have made Punjab a preferred destination for investors from India and abroad. Major companies such as Tata Steel, Verbio, JSW, Cargill, Vardhman, and Oswal have already invested in the state.

Recently, Netherlands-based company De Heus set up a state-ofthe-art animal feed plant worth 150 crore, opening new avenues of employment for the youth. The plant, which has an annual capacity of 180 kiloton, is planned to be expanded to 240 kiloton in the future.

To streamline industrial services, the government has launched a single-window system called the ‘Fast Track Punjab Portal’, which offers all essential services to investors on one platform. Additionally, the ‘Right to Business Act’ has further simplified the process of starting new enterprises.

To strengthen industrial policy, the state has formed 24 sectoral committees comprising experienced industry experts. Chief Minister Mann has emphasized that “the combined efforts of the government and industry are the key to development.” With rapidly improving infrastructure, a skilled workforce, and investor-friendly policies, Punjab has now become a symbol of trust not only for Indian businesses but also for global investors.
