Punjab Government Transfers IAS Officers, Ramvir Appointed Commissioner of Jalandhar Division

Jalandhar: The Punjab government on Wednesday carried out administrative reshuffle, transferring several IAS officers and making new appointments. The orders were issued by Chief Secretary K A P Sinha.

Ramvir Appointed Jalandhar Division Commissioner

Ramvir has been appointed Commissioner of Jalandhar Division. He has also been given the additional responsibility of Administrative Secretary of the Water Supply and Sanitation Department. He previously served as Administrative Secretary of the Information and Public Relations Department.

Ghanshyam Thori Appointed Health Department Commissioner

Ghanshyam Thori has been appointed Secretary of the Health and Family Welfare Department. He has also been given the additional responsibility of Mission Director of the National Health Mission, Punjab.

Puneet Goyal Appointed Director of Information and Public Relations Department

Puneet Goyal has been appointed Special Secretary and Director of the Information and Public Relations Department. He previously served as Special Secretary of the Medical Education and Research Department.

The government also clarified that until a regular officer is appointed, Puneet Goyal will also hold the additional charge of Administrative Secretary, Information and Public Relations Department.

Akshita Gupta transferred to Rupnagar

Akshita Gupta has been appointed Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) in Rupnagar. Previously, she served as Director of the Information and Public Relations Department.

The government has ordered that all officers assume charge of their new positions immediately.
