Punjab hit by floods
The meeting between the two leaders took place at such time when Punjab and its villages are battling with floods. Eight districts of the state, including Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Fazilka, Kapurthala, Tarn Taran, Ferozepur, Hoshiarpur, and Amritsar, are hit hard, with 518 villages inundated. Gurdaspur (150 villages), Kapurthala (115), and Amritsar (100) are among the worst affected due to flood and heavy rainfall.
