The Punjab government has taken major action against the SSP Vigilance, which arrested Shiromani Akali Dal senior leader Bikram Singh Majithia. The Punjab government has suspended SSP Vigilance Lakhvir Singh.

Let us tell you that Lakhvir Singh is the same officer under whose leadership the Vigilance arrested Bikram Singh Majithia on June 25. According to sources, the action has been taken against the officer for not taking action after a case was registered against a renowned social worker of Amritsar.

According to information, the Punjab government has suspended SSP Vigilance of Amritsar Lakhbir Singh in the case of alleged irregularities in tenders related to development works in the Pash Ranjit Avenue area, which includes embezzlement of crores of rupees.

Meanwhile, when contacted, SSP Lakhbir Singh said that he had also come to know about his suspension but was unaware of the reasons behind the decision. He said, “I have not received any official orders yet, so I cannot comment further.”

Meanwhile, a case has also been registered against a social worker from Amritsar, Mandeep Singh Manna. According to sources, the reasons for SSP Lakhbir Singh’s suspension may also be connected to the case registered against this social worker.
