Punjab-Haryana Police Score Major International Success, Two Wanted Gangsters Arrested in Angola

Chandigarh: In a major international operation, Punjab and Haryana Police, along with central intelligence agencies, have arrested two wanted gangsters in the African country of Angola. The arrests were made as part of efforts to track criminals operating from foreign locations.
The arrested accused have been identified as Varinder Singh alias Joban Saidoke and Manjot Singh, who were wanted by law enforcement agencies in connection with serious criminal cases.
Accused linked to murder and other criminal activities
According to officials, Varinder alias Joban Saidoke was wanted in four sensational murder cases registered in Punjab, while Manjot was also wanted in criminal cases.
Police had been tracking their movements as they were allegedly operating outside India. The arrests mark a significant breakthrough in efforts to dismantle criminal networks with international links.
Joint operation involving multiple agencies
The operation was carried out through coordination between Punjab Police, Haryana Police and central agencies, highlighting increased efforts to bring back fugitives hiding abroad.
Police have been targeting gangsters who continue to run criminal operations from foreign countries, including involvement in activities such as extortion, targeted killings and other organised crimes.
