Punjab: no alert issued as minimum temperature drops; WD active today

At the same time, according to the Meteorological Department, a slight change is now being seen in the weather of the state. The minimum temperature of the state will fall slightly. At the same time, a new western disturbance is also becoming active from today.

According to the Meteorological Center, the temperature of the state is continuously increasing since the sun came out. A new western disturbance is likely to become active from today, but its effect will also not be seen in the state. The coming week is likely to remain dry.

64% less rainfall recorded at the beginning of the year

According to the data released by the Meteorological Department, Punjab’s new year is also going to be dry. From 1 January 2025 till now, Punjab normally receives 24.7 mm of rain, but till now Punjab has received only 8.8 mm of rain.

In the month of December, Punjab recorded 126% more rain than normal. Last year, the normal rainfall for the month of December was estimated to be 10.9 mm, but 24.7 mm of rain was recorded that month.

Amritsar- Light clouds are expected. The temperature can remain between 5.9 to 20 degrees.

Jalandhar- Light clouds are expected. The temperature can remain between 4 to 20 degrees.

Ludhiana- Light clouds are expected. The temperature can remain between 8 to 23 degrees.

Patiala- Light clouds are expected. The temperature can remain between 8 to 25 degrees.

Mohali- Light clouds are expected. The temperature can remain between 10 to 23 degrees.
